Big News:
FRB en France - FRB - fantastic success in France - played with 5 other bands from France and headlined, playing many of our own and our favourite songs. One of the French bands - Deep Africa - said we were the inspiration to start them off. What a compliment!!
The festival is moving to next year - 2012 - instead of 2013 so we are looking for any help /sponsorship, to get the money together in a short time. Waitrose , Horley , have agreed to enter us into their community scheme for September, so if you are passing and shop in Horley, pop in and don't forget to cast your vote for us - FRB Music for All. New FRB COURSES in September 2011: FRB are offering courses in Songwriting, Computer generated music, Djembe drumming and other music based activities - contact us for details.
Angela and John have completed their Making Music with a computer and passed with flying colours. They have both recently received, not only an About Us certificate but also an OCN certificate, recognised nationally. They are both very proud of their hard work.
Angie, John, Jeff , Peter, Ian and Gareth have all been working on a new album of computer generated music. We are planning to issue a double album with other songs FRB have written and composed over the last few months. We'll keep you posted.
New instruements: Angie is learning the banjo, Mark, Peter, Gareth and Jeff the guitar; Ian is learning bass and John's drumming is coming along fantastically. Actually, Jeff has got harmonica, violin and banjo on the go aswell!!
And finally, some positive news about Angela, she has completed the assessment for a new Hearing dog for Deaf people. It takes a lot of time to get the right dog for the right person so although it may be some time, she will be getting a new dog sometime in the future.
Buddy, who died earlier in the year, had been everywhere with us and was our mascot. He is still a star in our lives .
